Some Tips For Your Security

Your choice of password is extremely important to prevent unauthorised access to your information.

The aim is to make life difficult for the bad guys so they can’t guess your password. Saasu do lots of smart things to protect you but you need to also protect yourself.

Please choose a password that has -

• at least eight characters
• a word or words that are not very widely used or easily guessed
• a word or words you can type quickly (ideally without having to look at the keyboard), this makes it hard to steal your password by watching over your shoulder
• a variety of mixed-case letters (e.g. a A b B) as well as digits 123456789 and or punctuation !@#$%^&*()-=
• special meaning to you so it is easy to remember (don’t write it down)
• a combination of mixed case letters from a phrase or poem or song with special characters mixed into it

Some things to avoid are -

• username or first/last/street/city name in any form (as-is, reversed, capitalized, doubled, etc.).
• family member’s name
• other personal information that is easily obtainable including car brand or license plates, phone number
• a series of passwords that follow a theme that you have disclosed to others e.g. words from your well known hobby interests or a language you speak
