What data can be imported into Saasu from MYOB?

Why can’t I import transactions?

You can but there are a few complications. Some vendors make it hard to import the payments attached to them because there isn’t an export format supporting a tie between Sales/Purchases and their associated Payments. A good idea is to change over at the end of a reporting period or end of financial year to avoid the necessity to bring across transactions.

Alternatively you can just transfer opening balances (we have one screen that allows you do do this in one sitting).

Many firms start out with any new system thinking they need historical transaction conversion and then review the total effort vs reward argument and conclude it is not worth it considering there are typically no extra costs associated with having your old system sitting there unused except for the occasional query.
