How does the free trial work?

For 30 days from the date you sign-up you can use any version of Saasu free of charge so you get the chance to “try before you buy”. If you'd like to switch to a different version of Saasu during your trial just contact our Service Team

My free trial has expired. Can I setup a new trial?

Contact the Service Team and they can usually organise an extension or re-opening of your trial.

Can I get a demonstration of Saasu?

Saasu applications are sold on self-assessed basis. The best way to do this is to sign up for the free 30 day trial of Saasu and contact our Service Team with any questions you have.

What payment methods do you accept?

Please see the options available in the checkout screen for your location.

Can I change my plans?

You can upgrade or downgrade your Saasu file at any time, as long as your yearly transaction count is below the plan quota. If you downgrade after using features from a higher plan then you may only be able to read the data in reports, but not use those features interactively.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel your subscription by letting it expire. Make sure you export your data first. Saasu doesn't refund any unused portion or your subscription.

How long do you hold onto my data after I leave?

We hold onto your data for 30 days after your subscription expires just in case you change your mind but after that we may delete it. We strongly recommend you export your data before your subscription expires if you no longer require the service.

I don't have time to export my data. What should I do?

We recommend you keep paying for your accounting file until you have time to export the data. This also allows you some time to be sure leaving was the right decision. It also allows your advisors to finalise your accounts and tax before leaving Saasu. Here is a guide to exporting your data from Saasu.

What do you count as a transaction?

Transactions include a Sale, Purchase, Bank Transfer, Pay or Journal entry. Things like Accounts, Employees, Contacts, Timesheets, Activities, Opening Balances or Attachments are not counted towards your transaction limit.

How does the transaction limit work?

The yearly transaction limit is based on transactions dated in the last 365 days. We total all transactions in the last 365 days. This allows for seasonality in business and allows customers moving to us to enter historical data.

What am I paying for?

When you subscribe to Saasu, you pay for the number of files (legal entities) you need. Saasu doesn’t charge for the number users or computers that access your files. Payment is made in advance each month, quarter or year and we maintain, backup and update the server hardware and web application that your Saasu file runs on. You don’t just pay for the days or months that you happen to sign-in.

What if my accountant isn’t keen on me using Saasu?

Accountants often recommend software they are familiar with and that supports their practise efficiency. This may not be the best one for you though. Saasu works with Accountants that understand this and tend to recommend the right product for the right business. We give them free support, training and certification to help them help you.

Where is my data stored?

In order to ensure that your data is secure, we have servers in a variety of locations and from a variety of hosting providers. This includes servers in the Australia and Hong Kong, supported by Rackspace and Microsoft.

What happens if I let my file expire?

If you let your file expire, you will need to pay the catch up period from your expiry date to the present to re-gain access to your data.

What does "Advanced Inventory" mean?

Advanced inventory relates to inventory serialisation. This is the ability to track additional pieces of data against your inventory items. An example of a piece of data could be a location, a serial number or a batch number. These labels of data are called "Attributes" in Saasu and you can read more about them here.

Do you accept part payments?

We don’t accept partial subscriptions or cheques so that we can keep our business simple and reduce costs for all our customers.

How do I upgrade?

To upgrade, you need to sign-in to Saasu. You will then need to navigate to My Saasu → Manage Subscription, then click the ‘Upgrade’ option at the top of the page.

Does Saasu offer a charity discount?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer charity discounts. We work hard to make Saasu as affordable as possible to all our customers, so we aren’t able to offer further discounting except under exceptional circumstances.

Why does Saasu charge for Test files?

Test files consume the same infrastructure and services as live files. Occasional testers should just pay for a file for a month and delete it when complete. If there is more complexity, update frequency and testing to be done because you are in a more sophisticated business model then we recommend paying for a permanent test file in your subscription.

I’m not an Australia company so why do you charge GST?

Saasu’s services, application and data hosting are offered from Australian so accordingly we are required to charge Australian GST. The tax advice we operate from is that this isn’t defined as an export. Thus, non-Australian buyers of our service pay GST on the service also.

What is the Enterprise plan and what does it cost?

The Enterprise plan is designed for our customers who are ready to move on to larger accounting software products. They usually have a lot of data. We use this plan to help support their needs during the transition. We love this plan because it means we've helped play a part in a small business becoming successful! The Enterprise Plan is $360 per month. It isn't offered to new customers. If you need that plan we would rather be straight with you and say that you are already too large for Saasu.
